Meet Amanda Martinez, LCSW
Army Combat Veteran | Trauma Therapist | Founder
River Cadence Therapy was founded on the belief that healing begins with feeling safe, understood, and supported while reconnecting with your strengths and creating a meaningful path forward.
I’m Amanda Martinez, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Army combat Veteran, and founder of River Cadence Therapy. After 20 years of military service, including three combat tours, I understand the courage it can take to seek support, navigate major transitions, and rebuild a sense of stability and purpose.
My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based care. I work with adults, Veterans, and first responders navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. Each session is tailored to your experiences, needs, and goals.
My lived experience as a Veteran—and the steady companionship of my service dog, Francis—has strengthened my belief that resilience does not mean carrying everything alone. Together, we can help you find your footing, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
